Hugh Fulton & Rebecca his wife of the town of Seneca County of Ontario and State of New York Are selling to Eleazer Gleason of the town county and State aforesaid For $500 all that piece or parcel of land situated in township No. ten in the first range of towns in the county and state aforesaid/viz/ sixty four acres situated on the east side of lot number twenty seven in said town bounded east by the east line of said lot south by part of the south line of said lot west by a line to be run parallel with the aforesaid east line & north by part of the north line of said lot the said sixty four acres of land were deeded to the said Hugh Fulton by James Wadsworth Esq. of the Geneso by deed bearing date the fifteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred & six.

William Fulton and Polly Ann his wife of East Bloomfield, Ontario County, New York are selling to Frederick A. Norton of the city of New York, New York Paid $2000.00 all that certain tract or parcel of land situate in lot number fourteen (14) in township number ten in the fourth range of townships in the county of Ontario, being the North part of lot number fourteen, containing one hundred and thirty and 55/100th’s acres of land. This Mortgage being given to secure the purchase money of the said premises. Provided always and these presents are upon this express condition, that if the said William Fulton, his heirs or personal representatives shall will and truly pay or cause to be paid to Frederick A. Norton his personal representatives or assigns, the said and full sum of two thousand dollars in manner following, that is to say two hundred dollars on May 1, 1834 and the remaining $1800.00 in eight annual installments of two hundred and twenty five dollars each, the first payment to be made on December 1, 1834 with interest of 7% per annum to be computed from May 1, 1833.  Witnessed by Renselaer Green of East Bloomfield, Ontario County, New York.

Thence Southwardly on the West line of land formerly owned by Charles Grant to the North line of Nathan Walden’s land thence West along the said North line of said Walden’s land to a stake and stones standing on the West line of said lot number thirteen thence South on the said West line of said lot number thirteen to the center of Mud Creek, thence Northwardly down the main branch of said creek to where the same intersects to the said West line of lot number thirteen thence Northwardly along the said line to the place of beginning, containing one hundred and five acres including the highway reference it has to the deed of ? Barnes and wife to Robert Welts recorded in liber 78? at folio 404. Also one other piece of land situate, lying and being in the township and State aforesaid and bounded as follows. Beginning at an Ash sapling for a corner on Daniel Rice's land thence South thirteen chains and eighty one links to a stone for a corner thence West eighty nine links toa stone for a corner between two small saplings thence North thirteen chains and eighty one links to the said Rice's line thence East eighty nine links to the place of beginning containing one acre and twenty hundredths of an acre of land. Reference being had to deed of Jonathan Seacock to Robert Welts recorded in liber 56 of deeds at folio 322.

Joseph D. Fulton of the village of Geneva, Ontario County, New York is selling to William Spencer of Hadlyme, Connecticut Paid $100.00 for lot, piece or parcel of land, situate in the village of Geneva, Ontario County, New York. Known as Lot number twenty seven (27) in the subdivision of the meadow lot, so called in the North part of the village of Geneva, according to a plat of said meadow lot, so called in the North part of the village of Geneva, according to a subdivision and plat of said meadow lot made by David Cook Esq. for the late Samuel Colt; said lot being fifty feet infront on Main Street. Payment to be made in four equal annual installments from the thirteenth day of April 1836, with lawful interest to be paid thereon annually as a collateral security. If any payment is not paid as described the lot will go to auction and the benefits of that sale will go to Joseph D. Fulton all the amount over $100.00.

Joseph Fulton and Isabella his wife of the town of Seneca County of Ontario and State of New York Are selling to Oliver Child of the town County and State aforesaid For $700 All that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the town County and State aforesaid being the north side of lot No. twenty six in township No. ten the first range, butted and bounded as followith, viz.  beginning at a small beach tree in the center of the road at the northeast corner of the aforesaid Lot from thence running north eighty eight degrees and fifteen minutes west fifty two chains and seventy links to a stake and stones from thence south two degrees thirty minutes west nineteen chains and ninety two Links to a stake and stones from thence eighty eight degrees and fifteen minutes east forty two Chains and seventy links to a Stake and stones from thence along the road north two Degrees thirty minutes east nineteen Chains and ninety two Links to the place of beginning containing one hundred and five acres, including the highway laid thereon.

Joseph D. Fulton and Margaret his wife of Seneca, Ontario County, New York are selling to Ann Suydam of Seneca, Ontario County, New York Paid $1000.00 for lot, piece or parcel of land, situate in the village of Geneva, Ontario County, New York. being part of lot number eighty four in Reed and Ryckman location and known and distinguished as lot number four (4) on the North side of Castle Street being fifty feet in front on Castle Street and one hundred and fifty feet in depth. To be paid in manner following that is to say five hundred dollars upon certain bond and mortgage executed, the bond by Robert Darham and the mortgage by said Robert and Ann Maria his wife the 6th day of July 1833 to the Ontario Insurance company as the money thereon becomes due, Five Hundred dollars to the said Ann Suydam as follows to wit in six equal annual installments to commence at the expiration of four years from this date with lawful interest to commence from this date to be paid annually on the whole sum of five hundred dollars. If any payment is not paid as described the lot will go to auction and the benefits of that sale will go to Joseph D. Fulton all surplus from auction.

Joseph D. Fulton having failed to pay the amount due on a mortgage executed by himself to William Spencer of Hadlyme in the state of Connecticut bearing date the 22nd day of August 1836. I shall expose to public sale on the 25th day of November next at 10 o'clock in the forenoon at the mansion house in the village of Geneva in the county of Ontario and State of New York known and distinguished as lot number 27 in the subdivision of the meadow lot so called in the North part of the village of Geneva according to a subdivision and plat of said meadow lot made by David Cook for the late Samuel Colt said lot being fifty feet in front on Main Street. Said mortgage was recorded in Ontario County clerks office in the Liber 22 of Mortgages at folio 136 on the 9th day of January 1837 and there is claimed to be due thereon at this date the sum of $84.33 Dated Geneva June 9th 1840

            Ira Merrell of Geneva in said County of Ontario printer and publisher of the Geneva Courier a newspaper published in the village of Geneva in said county being duly sworn says that the notice a printed copy of which taken from the said newspaper in which it was published is hereto annexed has been published in said newspaper once in each week for twenty five weeks successfully and that the said notice was first published on the ninth day of June 1840 and was last so published on the twenty fourth day of November instant. dated November 25th 1840.
Nathan B. Kidder bid $54.00 and was the highest bidder and became the owner of said lot.

North of East Bloomfield, Ontario County, New York Paid $4200.00 for all that certain piece or parcel of land in said town of East Bloomfield which was conveyed to Gates Davis by deed of Jonathan Seacock and Martha his wife on the 28th day of January 1835 and recorded in liber 56 of deeds at folio 547 said farm estimated to contain one hundred and five acres of land reference being bad to said deed to be the same. William Fulton doth hereby covenant and agree that at the delivery hereof he is the lawful owner of the said premises above granted and seized of a good and indefeasible state of inheritance therein free and clear of all in cumbrances except a certain mortgage made and executed by Gates Davis to John Ballen bearing date January 28, 1835 and is recorded in liber 20 of mortgages at folio 6 on which said mortgage there is due and unpaid the sum of $2200.00 with interest from April 1, 1836 which the said Edwin A. North assumes to pay.

Whereas the mortgage hereinafter mentioned has been in due form of law, foreclosed by advertisement or notice, whereof the following is a copy to wit: Joseph D. Fulton of Geneva having failed to pay the amount due on a mortgage executed by him to William Spencer of Hadlyme in the State of Connecticut bearing date the 22nd day of August 1836. I shall expose to public sale on the 25th day of November next at 10 O’clock in the forenoon at the mansion house in the village of Geneva, in the county of Ontario, all that certain piece or parcel of land situate in the village of Geneva in the county of Ontario and State of New York, known and distinguished as lot number 27 in the subdivision of the meadow lot, so called, in the North part of the village of Geneva according to a subdivision and plat of said meadow lot made by David Cook for the late Samuel Colt, said lot being fifty feet in front on Main Street, said mortgage was recorded in Ontario County clerk's office in Liber 22 of mortgages at folio 136 on the 9th day of January 1837 and there is claimed to be due thereon, at this date, the sum of $84.33 dated Geneva June 9, 1840. William Spencer, Mortgagee. Which said notice all the statements contained wherein are true was duly given by publishing the same for twenty four weeks successively at least once in each week in the Geneva Courier a newspaper printed in the said County of Ontario where the said mortgaged premises are situated and by affixing a copy of the said notice at least twenty four weeks prior to the time therein specified for the said sale on the outward door of the building where the county courts are directed to be held in the said County of Ontario as by reference to the affidavits in this behalf filed and recorded in the office of the clerk of the said County of Ontario where the said sale took place will more fully appear. And whereas also on the said twenty fifth day of November, 1840 at the mansion house in the village of Geneva aforesaid the said sale pursuant to said notice took place in due form of law at public auction in the daytime when and where said sale Nathan B. Kidder of the village of Geneva in said County of Ontario became the purchaser of the said mortgaged premises at and for the price or sum of fifty four dollars, which the said Nathan B. Kidder then and there bid therefore, as by reference to the affidavit of the fact of said sale(which last mentioned affidavit has been filed and recorded as aforesaid) will more fully appear: Now therefore, this indenture made the twenty sixth day of November, 1840 between the said William Spencer, mortgagee is selling to Nathan B. Kidder

Fulton) and where as the party of the first part from the natural affection which they have for their mother the said party of the second part and to enable her to support herself and for other considerations they design to convey to the said party of the second part a life estate in one of the said lots of land being the parcel first above described which she is to hold, use, and enjoy for and deriving her natural life in lien of all her right of dower of and into the said premises so far as regards the rights of the parties to this instrument now then this indenture witnessed that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the premises and also of the sum of one dollar to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part at and upon the delivery of these presents the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged have granted and conveyed and by these presents do grant convey unto the said Margaret Fulton for and during only her natural life that certain lot of land situated in the village of Geneva aforesaid being the lot number twelve of the Tappan property so called. Church and that she deponent on the same day executed the same in her own behalf and also in the name of Harriet N. Dobbin for said Harriet N. for whom she is testamentary guardian and at the same time deponent signed her name as a subscribing witness to said instruments. Fulton and Clarissa Fulton his wife of the same place for $1 all that part of the said mortgaged lands described as follows:  All that Tract or Parcel of Land situate in the village of Geneva, Ontario County New York, viz.: All that part of the “Walter Taylor lot” situate on the north side of Washington street in Geneva aforesaid and bounded as follows:  Commencing at the south west corner of a lot occupied by one Dennison on the north line of Washington street and running thence westerly along said north line sixty six feet and four inches <66 ft & 4 in> to a stake:  thence north sixteen and three fourths degrees west <16 ¾ ? W> One hundred and fifty two feet <152 ft> to a stake:  thence easterly parallel with the north line of Washington street sixty eight feet and eight inches (68 ft 8 in> to the west line of said Dennison’s lot:  thence southerly along the said west line to the place of beginning, being the same premises occupied by the Hugh Fulton & Gertrude Fulton his wife as and for their residence.
[Note:  Joseph and Clarissa conveyed several parcels of land to Moses Yeomans to settle a mortgage on them dated 23 November 1874. This part of those parcels is being returned to Joseph and Clarissa while the rest of the parcels are being held by Moses Yoemans as security for the money remaining due on the mortgage.]

Betsey Whitwell of Geneva, Ontario County, New York Is selling to Joseph H. Fulton and Clarissa Fulton his wife
Witnessed: that Joseph H. Fulton and Clarissa Fulton by an indenture of Mortgage bearing date of April 1, 1875 for the consideration therein mentioned, and to secure the payment of the money therein specified, did convey certain lands of which the land hereinafter described are part. Betsey Whitwell at the request of Joseph H. Fulton and Clarissa Fulton to hold and retain the residue of the said mortgaged lands as security for the money remaining unpaid on the said mortgage. Now this indenture witnessed, that Betsey Whitwell in pursuance of the said agreement, and in consideration of $1.00 duly paid sell all that tract or parcel of land situate on the village of Geneva, Ontario County, New York vis.: All that part of the Walter Taylor lot, situate on the North side of Washington Street  in Geneva aforesaid and bounded as follows: commencing at the Southwest corner of a lot occupied by one Dennison in the North line of Washington Street and running thence Westerly along said North line sixty six feet and four inches (66ft. 4 in.) to a stake. Thence North sixteen and three fourths degrees West one hundred and fifty two feet to a stake. Thence Easterly parallel with the North line of Washington Street sixty eight feet and eight inches to the West line of said Dennison’s lot. Thence southerly along the said West line to the place of beginning. Being the same premises occupied by Hugh Fulton and Gertrude Fulton his wife as and for their residence.

Joseph H. Fulton and Clarissa Fulton his wife of the village of Geneva, Ontario Co. N.Y. are selling to Hiram Close of the same place for $100 all that tract or parcel of land situate in the village of Geneva lying on the north side of Castle St. and west side of Brick House owned and occupied by the said Fulton’s.  Being four inches more or less on Castle St. running north 40 feet to rear of said Fulton’s Brick House thence west ten feet more or less parallel with Castle St. to land now owned by Hiram Close together with an equal right to Brick wall owned by said Fulton’s to use for building thereto.  And the second part further agrees not to injure the brick wall by building their to nor the chimneys.

Hugh Fulton and Gertrude A. his wife of the village of Geneva, County of Ontario and State of New York are selling to David A. Dayton of the same place for $6,000 all that tract or parcel of land situate in the village of Geneva Ontario County New York viz:  All that part of the “Walter Taylor lot” situate on the north side of Washington Street in Geneva aforesaid and bounded as follows:  Commencing at the south west corner of a lot occupied by one Dennison on the north line of Washington Street and running thence westerly along said north line sixty six feet and four inches <66 ft & 4 in> to a stake:  Thence north sixteen and three fourths degrees west <N16 ¾ ? W> one hundred and fifty two feet <152 ft> to a stake:  Thence easterly parallel with the north line of Washington street sixty eight feet and eight inches <68 ft 8 in> to the west line of the said Dennison’s lot:  Thence southerly along the said west line to the place of beginning being the same premises occupied by the parties of the first part as and for their residence.
[Note:  Hugh and Gertrude state they have a mortgage to Hiram Close on which they owe $1200 & interest from April 17, 1877 and also a mortgage of $458.88 to Sylvester Staats, which said mortgage the party of the second part assumes to pay.]

James S. Fulton and Margaret A. Fulton his wife of the town of Seneca, Ontario County, New York are selling to James P. Fulton of the same place for $5,416 all that tract or parcel of land in the town of Seneca, County of Ontario, State of New York, aforesaid being the north part of lot No 89 of Phelps and Gorham purchase described as follows viz:  Beginning at the north east corner of said lot and running south five degrees west twenty six chains and seventy eight links to lands of John Love: thence north eighty five degrees and twenty one chains and twelve links to lands of George Rippey, thence north five degrees east eleven chains and twenty links to a stake, thence north eighty five degrees west twenty one chains to the west line of said lot, thence north five degrees east fifteen chains and fifty links to the north west corner of said lot, thence south eighty five degrees east forty one chains and seventy links to the place of beginning containing eighty eight acres and seventy one hundredths of an acre as described in a deed of these premises from William Fiero to said James S. Fulton dated April second 1851 and recorded in the Ontario County Clerks Office May 31st 1851 in Book 95 of Deeds at page 405 excepting one forth of an acre from the north east corner of said premises heretofore deeded by said James S. Fulton to Black & Heaines.
